I hold a Masters degree in Gerontology from University of Saint Joseph in West Hartford CT and a BA from University of Connecticut. After an over twenty year banking career, in both lending and management, I decided to embark in a second career in older adult advocacy. My job search brought me to JFS Care at Home, where I have been fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to take a vital position in growing our home care agency to the quality and caring program we offer today. With the support of our Care at Home team, I find tremendous joy and satisfaction in helping older adults and their families.

Elaine H. Reid, CDP
Director of Care Experience

I have a diverse professional background having worked in the local business community and overseas for more than 25 years. Prior to joining JFS Care at Home, I worked as a Senior Living Advisor supporting people looking for long term solutions both at home and in skilled care, I also managed and directed a local home healthcare agency that specialized in-memory support care, where I worked as a Certified Dementia Practitioner supporting family’s needs. My experience includes service, problem-solving, marketing, compliance, sales, project management, and human resources.

Elaine Reid

I bring to my work with older adults the personal experience of having two family members who struggled with debilitating illnesses, which instilled in me a passion for creating change within the healthcare system. I firmly believe in helping families so that they may lead to engaged and vital lives. I work with families to assess needs, outline services, and benefits to carefully match appropriate care. I am recognized for strong “take-ownership” attitude, dedicated to providing exceptional service and fulfilling commitments. A resident of West Hartford, I am an avid volunteer, a Dementia Friend and a Caregiver Support Group Leader. I also serve on the Advocacy Committee & Walk to End Alzheimer’s Committee for the Alzheimer’s Association.

Jonas Steiner

For almost four decades I have worked with older adults. I obtained my Bachelors and Masters degrees in social work at St. Louis University. I have worked with clients and families as an advocate, resource and counselor. I have worked in long term, and acute care settings as well as a behavioral health clinician. I have also facilitated several support groups for clients and families. Helping individuals work through challenging situations is very rewarding to me. Becoming a member of the Care at Home team is exciting and an opportunity to continue this work.

Susan Constantine
Recruitment, Development and Training Coordinator

I worked for Catholic Charities in a variety of positions for over ten years and joined JFS Care at Home in 2012. I am a licensed CNA, a Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP), and certified as a Geriatric Care Assistant from the University of Saint Joseph. My passion has always been to assist individuals in reaching and maintaining their independence in their own homes. I very much enjoy the opportunity to meet and help support the caregivers and clients of JFS Care at Home.

I have a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from University of Saint Joseph in West Hartford, CT. Since graduating in 1979, I have worked for various companies in the greater Hartford area holding various financial and managerial positions. It is very rewarding to work with both our caregivers and clients to facilitate all matters pertaining to payroll and billing here at JFS Care at Home.
